I prepare for my lunch
icon1 admin | icon2 blog, foods, Life | icon4 04 14th, 2009| icon3No Comments »

I have unusual lunch hour every Tuesday and Thursday. I can only go to lunch after 2pm for these two days. But at this time, most of the stalls are closed for business, so I don’t have much variety on food.

Today, I went to market in the morning and grab a pack of vegetarian fried noodle. Then I boiled two eggs added in the noodle and bring it to company. At the same time, I prepared dessert for myself as well! It is green-bean that I cooked since last night before I get to bed.

Hehe… I will have a great lunch at office today, how about you?

I like food at Little Vietnam restaurant at Mid Valley. It is located at the opposite of Studio R. Food serving in this restaurant is quite affordable. I ordered a Tomato Fried Rice with chicken (see picture) and it cost me RM8.90++. For drinks, I ordered Vietnam tea for only RM2.50 and it is unlimited refill! Besides, every RM10 you spent in the restaurant entitled a stamp chop. You can redeem a main course meal after 12 stamps collected. Just a suggestion for you if you are wondering what to eat in Mid Valley shopping mall~!

I went to McDonald for the discounted set lunch during weekday few weeks ago. During that time, this promotion is only valid for weekdays. Now, it has changed to EVERYDAY promotion!

No matter weekdays, weekend, or public holiday, they sell selected lunch set from RM5.95 (excluding tax). I am not encouraging you visit them more often because fast food is not healthy. But, sometime it is quite hard to refuse this sinful food, right? Haha!

Seafood in Bukit Tambun
icon1 admin | icon2 foods | icon4 03 3rd, 2009| icon3No Comments »

I went to Bukit Tambum on my way back during my trip to Penang. I heard there is a famous place for seafood. So, I asked my friends brought me to the destination.

There are a lot of seafood restaurant in Bukit Tambun. My friend brought us to the one which is quite far from the town area, somewhere near stadium and Penang Second Link.

The restaurant name is Restaurant Batu Kawan or 阿燕海鲜 in Mandarin. It is a famous seafood restaurant in Bukit Tambun. From the pictures and newspaper cutting paste on the wall, we could identify few politicians and celebrities were visited here before.

But honestly, if you ask me about seafood, I would say Kuala Sepetang is better and cheaper. What were we had in阿燕海鲜? You can find it from the picture. The bill was RM43.30. I know it is cheap if compared with KL standard, but trust me, you can find a better and cheaper one in Kuala Sepetang, which I will blog about it later…

I thought Jaya33 in Section 17 area is like a normal shopping mall cum office area, I was wrong. It is a place that consisting a lot of restaurant.

We went to there to celebrate SST’s 30 year’s old birthday! They decided to celebrate his birthday in a Japanese restaurant called Kissaten. Then, the bill was on SST eventually.

The environment is quite nice and it has few storeys. Even it is a Japanese restaurant, but most of the food that we ordered was Eastern cuisine… And the set meal is more expensive for dinner compared to lunch. Each set cost more than RM22, inclusive tea/ coffee, and soup.

Food is not bad. I love pizza from there. Something is different than Pizza Hut or Domino Pizza. SST spent about RM150 on that dinner. Thanks ya~

We went to Sunway Pyramid for New Year shopping “last year”. It is a place that we rarely go. Since now it is quite near with the place that I work, so, I took my housemates there for shopping.

Then, we went to Gasoline for dinner. It is located at the upper level of the mall. The first thing that attracts our attention was the outlook. It is like a corsair, with Christmas decoration. Then, the food selling there is affordable. It is like RM6.90 – RM10.90. We ordered few single meal, mainly rice, taste OK. Don’t put too high expectation with the food in that price range.

Anyway, we spent RM50++ for 3-pax. Mainly is because we ordered expensive drinks. Perhaps it is a good choice in cheaper meal in Sunway Pyramid~!

We went to Izzi restaurant on last Saturday. We were attracted by the 75% discount advertisement. So, we decided to go and have a try on their food.

If I am not mistaken, you have to order more than RM75 on selected menu in order to enjoy 75% discount. Beverages are not included in the total amount and will not enjoy discount. The cheapest drink is mineral water which will cost you RM3.

We ordered two large pizzas, one salad, one don’t-know-what. We choose to have milkshake instead of plain water. It is around RM9. We spent RM61 for four of us. It is only RM15+ per person. The food is nice in overall. Have you been there before?

Lunch in a busy day
icon1 admin | icon2 foods, Life | icon4 11 14th, 2008| icon3No Comments »

I was so busy with my tight schedule yesterday. I even have no time to go for a proper lunch. So, I decided to grab some light refreshment to fill my empty stomach.

Luckily, there is a bakery shop in our office premise. This bakery shop is run by college student in fulfilling their subject requirement. The buns and cakes selling in this bakery are cheaper than outside. So, I decided to buy something the shop.

I was attracted with a small cake and a small bun looks like burger. I took both and it cost me RM3 only! Both items taste good and I feel worth it!

These were my simple “lunch” during my busy day!

Last Sunday, we were so undetermined where to have our lunch. At the end, LengZai brought us to a Korean Restaurant at Niu Ze Xui. The name of this restaurant is Haeun Dae. It is located at the upper level of shop lot area. I am not fancy about Korean food. But, since they were so excited, so I just don’t want to spoil the mood.

The time we were there is quite late. It was about 2:15PM. So, the restaurant is quite empty. However, the food’s price is acceptable. Five of us had set lunch; the total bill is about RM80+. The portion of food is big, and it’s enough to satisfy our hunger!

There have few choices on food. If you don’t like Korean food, there is still Japanese and local food for you. I ordered cuttlefish bento on that day. The price is about RM13.90+. Let’s see the photo, it looks nice, right?

Not the same breakfast

 breakfast.jpg

Maybe I can say I have boring breakfast in every morning. Normally, I would have four slices of Gardenia bread with peanut butter spread and a cup of coffee. At most of the time, I need to have the same breakfast during the weekend; this is because I need to eat all my bread before it is expired. But today, I have different breakfast on my desk!

I bought a slice of dunno-what-cake from Delifrance last night. They were having buy one get one free promotion. The original price for the cake is RM4.50, but I share it with SST, so it only cost me RM2.75. I see it is quite small, so I squeeze another slice of KY’s home-made sponge cake into my lunch box. But I regretted this morning as the cake for Delifrance make me feel so FULL! So, I have to keep the sponge cake for tea time.

Perhaps I should always change my breakfast routine, so that Chubby Boy will not say my breakfast is boring and tasteless. See, I am still using the same cup from Chubby Boy since I started work~ *Wink*
