My primary school classmate has confirmed to me that he could not joined the Chinese New Year celebration in 2008. He was assigned to work at outstation during that period. He received an assignment which need him to stay at Dubai for three months.

Frankly, I knew about Dubai after the Burj Al Arab hotel is built up. It is a luxury hotel and also acknowledge the best hotel in the world! I believe it has become a good attraction in Dubai. Personally, I love the architecture design of the hotel. It costed about 650 million to build this hotel. Apart from the design, I was impressed by location of hotel. It is built at artificial island and it is 280 metres away from offshore. I believe I have no chance to stay there, it is too expensive for me, but I hope to pay a visit to there without staying!

My friend promised to snap some pictures for me if he has chance to visit there. I appreciate his kind-hearted offer, and I asked him to survey some Dubai holiday rentals in case I am interested to visit there on next year. What I got from him is a website. He told me I could find all I want at http://www.dubaiapartments.biz/, because this is recommended by his colleagues who working at Dubai as well.

dubaiapartment.jpg

He knows I preferred to travel with mu friends, so the website he recommends covered from Dubai hotel apartments, Dubai Villa. The visitors can choose to rent Dubai furnished apartments which I believe suitable for people will be at Dubai for short term. By doing this, you need not worry about staying in the empty apartment in Dubai.

My friend told me the foods at Dubai is different with what we had in Malaysia. At least there did not have my favorite Malaysian food, Nasi Lemak. Normally they serve with Arabic foods.  However, there have most of the America fast food restaurant like KFC, Chilli’s. It is not a good choice if we had fast food frequently. Thus, I found that the website also providing self catering apartments in Dubai. By renting this apartment, you are able to cook your favorite cuisine. This is a good choice for people who are unable to accept the foods at Dubai. In my opinion, I will try it anyway because I love to taste different cuisine of foods! I hope to try living like a local people.

I am happy with my friend. He could travel to different countries in his job. By this approach, we could save a lot of money in traveling! Boss, when you going to send me to Dubai and stay at luxury Burj Al Arab?

I knew about fight between revellers and polices at Gurney Drive during Christmas eve. Revellers throw cans and stones at police car. They seem crazy and loss control. I can see most of the revellers are Ch*nese, oh… shame shame shame… Just hope those people don’t make such sia soi things to spoilt the reputation of Ch*nese… sigh

I really don’t understand the motive of those revellers. Let’s see the video from YouTube about this incident. Tell me what do you think about this. Do you know anything about this incident?

Kelvin is getting bored with the working class lifestyle. He is seeking the opportunity in doing own business. After some exploration, he is planning to start with the direct marketing.
He asked opinion from me at last week. Sadly, I am an idiot in doing business. I don’t mean to ruin his plan, so I just shut my mouth off. I am so sorry if this causing him thought of I am not supportive. What I can do is suggesting a great website for him in generating sales leads in direct marketing. I hope it would be useful for him…

I was invited by FooTiam to join the charity trip to old folk’s house during this Christmas. It was an activity organized by N & G Art Gallery and Taiping Buddhist organization. The main purpose of this trip is to visit old folk’s house to spread the joy and love~!
We have visited two old folk’s house, one is located at Sungai Siput and another one is at Ipoh. Both are self-funded old folk’s house which just get very little subsidy from government.

Gift exchange @ HEAF
icon1 admin | icon2 blog, foods, Life | icon4 12 21st, 2007| icon38 Comments »

We had our Christmas celebration at Manhattan Fish Market (MFM), KLCC at 19th December, 2007. We had a gift exchange at that time as well.

Initially, we planned to download the mobile coupon from MyStyle to enjoy the 15% discount. I did it on that afternoon, but the coupon only reaches my mobile phone on 21st December, 2007. What a deficient service from MyStyle!

Although we couldn’t get any discount from MyStyle but it didn’t affect out mood to celebrate this wonderful festive day. In fact, MFM is doing the 5th anniversary promotion. By purchasing five main meals from the menu, you are entitled to get the next main meal for FREE! But at the end, we know that it is fixed, that is Fish and Chips. I don’t want that common and cheap meal for this occasion, so I decided to order another main meal which is Flame Platte for One. At the same time, we also order the promotion soup of the day (perfect catch) for RM8.90 each. The total bill for six of us is RM220.57.

Okay, back to the gift exchange session. I was appointed to give my gift to KeeYit. I bought a necklace for her. Most of us think it is nice, but she couldn’t accept it… What do you think about this necklace?

I get the gift from SST. Surprisingly, he gave me a gift I need the most, a gym glove! Since I join the Body Pump classes quite frequent, I need a glove to protect my hand surface. I don’t want my hand become rough! I love my gift.

Pic 8: Oh~~ my Christmas present (gloove, not that girl!)~ I like it (gloove, not that girl!)!

After the dinner, we took LRT together and back home together~ It is something that rarely happen in HEAF~!

Public Bank S*cks!
icon1 admin | icon2 blog | icon4 12 19th, 2007| icon312 Comments »

I am not purposely want to affront Public Bank, but I really unsatisfied with their Debit Card Application.

I applied the PB Visa Electron on 12 November, they said need two weeks to process the application. I am fine. After more than two weeks, I called to the customer service because I didn’t get any reply from Public Bank. It was at the beginning of December. They told me my application just received at 28th November! OMG, are they hiring turtles for dispatch? It took three weeks to deliver my application from Bandar Sri Damansara branch to headquarter?

At 11th December, I called to check my application. The ‘machine teller’ informed me that my application has approved! So, I am waiting the letter from Public Bank which allows me to collect my card at branch. I am so exciting everyday came back from work. I hope the letter would be at the mailbox. But what I got is just disappointment.

Initially, I thought Public Bank is a very efficient bank. I see the tellers at the counter providing fast processing to the customers. But, it seems not true when it comes to my case. As you know, I am waiting that Visa Electron card for me to withdraw the money from Paypal. Now, I have to put the things on hold.

At the same time, I choose to rant at here rather than file my complain report to their customer service is because they are rude. The customer service talked to me impolitely when the first time I called to them. Now, I hate Public Bank so much. I have decided to ban Public Bank by:

  • Do not loan with Public Bank
  • Do not buy any mutual which is from Public Bank (except Public Mutual)
  • Do not apply Public Bank credit card
  • Do not make any fixed deposit with Public Bank

Perhaps I would apply my Visa Debit Card from Al-Rajhi. Again, Public Bank S*CK!
