I am encountering a serious problem with my blog. I noticed that I couldn't get the back link from the other bloggers. They did put the link pointed to my blog, but I couldn't trace it from my incoming link and Technorati as well. For instants, I can see Wayne Liew had a link to my blog, but my Technorati unable to trace it.
I read quite a number of articles stated that the back link is a crucial part in improving the PR, so I am quite urged about it.
- Does anyone at here also encountering the similiar problems?
- Any suggestions from the experienced bloggers?
I hope you might gimme some useful suggestions if you know any. Thanks.

Are you in Wordpress 2.3 yet? In Wordpress 2.3, the dashboard incoming links stats partner had been switched to Google Blogsearch instead of the previous Technorati.
The error you spotted in your dashboar may be caused my some PHP parsing error. I am not good in coding so I can’t help much in this. Do you have the routine of backup your Wordpress? If you do, you can try to restore your Wordpress to a time where there is no such errors but of course, this is what you do when you don’t know how to recover from the error.
To get backlinks calculated by search engines like Google and Technorati, you will need to wait for the search engine spiders to crawl through the links. It takes time for it to crawl and for it to show. Are you using Google Webmaster Tools? If you do, all the links stated inside the tools are more precise and if the link to you appears in there, the backlink exists.

thanks for ur tag previously. actually i have the same problem like yours but it is my blogspot….on personal blog. it can’t detect any incoming links and it affects my PR to become N/A or 0. i just can’t figure what to do. nobody can help.

I never do any backup for my blog, never! Actually this thing happen since the first day, but I just neglected it (*piss*).
What is Google Webmaster Tools? I am still in Wordpress 2.2.1
I learn PHP before, but I am not going to trace one by one for sure…

A way to speed up spider crawling is by pinging through pingomatic. Try it out.
Do you have a Google account? I am sure you have one because you have Adsense here. After logged into your Adsense or Gmail, go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/ the instructions will be there.
