Today is a simple Sunday for me~ I didn't go out except we went to Pasar Malam (night market) to buy fruits and some vegetable.

After that, KeeYit decided to cook for the dinner. So, three of us (SST, KeeYit, and I) had the dinner at home. KeeYit cooked mixed-vege, eggs. SST prepared KimChi and bought fried-chicken from Pasar Malam. I prepared the LengZai LengThong (Handsome's soup) and corn rice, muhahahah!!! The foods is too much for three of us! However, we managed to finish all the foods. It is Sunday, dun bother so much lar…. haha~ We will cook again on tomorrow~ huhu~

Eden at The Curve

I was wrote about Dim Sum discount at Eden restaurant, and finally I’d pay a visit to that restaurant yesterday with SST. After the movie session, we’d decided to have our lunch at Eden, The Curve~ At Eden restaurant, you can find western or oriental cuisine inside~

Currently, they are running few promotions. Besides Dim Sum discount, they also offering the “Crazy Set Promotion“~ The set lunch included soup of the day, choose either Grilled Boneless chicken or Deep-Fried Tempura Dory Fillet as main course, and dessert of the day~. This promotion is valid from 16th June to 2nd September 2007. I had Deep-Fried Tempura Dory Fillet, and SST had Grilled Boneless Chicken~ The Dory Fillet that I had is yummy. It is unlikely the Dory Fillet that we usually find at Secret Recepi or IKEA cafe~ So, you can try it if you plan to visit there~

Apparantly, the price is quite affortable. After we had the set meal, we are so fulled. So, we only ordered a set of eggtart, it was only RM2 after 50% discount. The Dim Sum serving hours id from 11am to 4pm at weekdays, and 10am to 4pm at weekend. This promtion is valid from 1st July to 31 August 2007.

ALL foods served are HALAL~

Besides went to BTS (Berjaya Time Square) for movie, we also went there for a lunch. I purposely choose a restaurant that I never been before, oo that I can blog about, haha…. cunning ya? Finally, we had had our lunch at Shabu Shabu at BTS, which located at the fourth floor (refer to pic 1 for the exact location).

If you are a steamboat lover, then I recomend you not to go there. If you are not, I also not recomend you to visit there… haha!! Because the foods and drinks is not nice at all… There are offering three set meals, price from RM9.90++, that is the normal set. We only have the cheapest set (chicken) becuase we didn’t trust on the seafoods they served! From the packed plate seafoods outside, we doubt the freshness of their seefoods! OK, the best part of their foods is they are providing unlimited fruits and ice cream.

The service is poor. The waiters can only understand simple Malay language, as they are from Vietnam, Indonesia, or Bangladesh… Very hard to place our order. When we requested to refill the tomyam soup, the waiter didn’t give any feedback. Then he just walked away, and refill the tomyam soup for us after few minutes (luckily…).

So, it is a ONE star restaurant that I’ll not visit again. Unless my friends really want to try how poor they are, haha~!

Ratatouille
icon1 admin | icon2 movie | icon4 08 15th, 2007| icon310 Comments »

I’d watched Ratatouille on passed Monday. It was a special screening from Malaysian Today, the official screening for this movie is on Thursday (16/8) in Malaysia. In order to grab the tickets, the Malaysian Today’s readers need to cut out the cuopons from the newspaper, and queue up at the appointed counter at GSC, 1Utama. The tickets redemption is started at 7:00pm but it was a crowd before 6:15pm. So, you can see how much the people like this movie, and free tickets too~ But the tickets are limited, I think only 1/10 of the people have succeed to get it.

Since one person can grab up to 4 tickets, so I have redeem for KeeYit, Cbenc12 and Clive. Because they can’t reach 1Utama so soon, but I can. When they reached 1Utama, we had our dinner at Teppanyaki by using MyStyle mobile coupon. It’s a buy 1 get 1 free deal, worth it huh~

The movie is hilarious. It’s telling about a genuis rat, named Remy dreaming to become a chef. By its talents, Remy form a partnership with Linguini and become a great chef eventually. Remy was inspired by Gusteau’s book “Anyone can cook”, so it starts to chase its dream to become a chef. This concept perfectly answered footiam’s comment on me in my former post, my cooking. Anyone can cook, ok?

Weekend at BTS~
icon1 admin | icon2 blog, Life | icon4 08 14th, 2007| icon36 Comments »

I was at BTS (Bejaya Time Square) with KeeYit last Sunday. My hangout buddies have reduced from two to one person after Mr.Ewe has found his soulmate. But it doesn’t stop our weekend hangout routine. This time, we went to BTS for Simpson’s movie. Actually, BTS is not our choice for movie. After few attemps failed to book the movie tickets at 1Utama, so we decided to take SST’s option, watch at BTS.

I don’t like to drive to that area, since there always congested. So, KeeYit and I have choose to ride with Rapid KL LRT~ The show was started at 11:00am, and we reached the counter at 10:59am! The best thing is we still able to grab the nice seats~! So, if next time you are not able to grab the movie tickets at 1Utama and Midvalley, BTS might be the best alternative, haha~

The movie is funny, and really a ’simpson kind movie. The Giant-boy beside KeeYit laugh loudly and eat lotsa junk foods. But he’s attitude is fine because his phone turns into silent mood, unlike the Dai Goh in Digi’s ads at the cinema. haha~!

After movie, we go for lunch and the shopping. At the same day, The Cross (Korean pop-band) cames to BTS for their <Magician>  album’s promo tour~ Few songs they have performed on that day, not bad. Anyway, I am not into Korean songs, haha~

I’ve found that BTS is a good place to shopping as the goods selling there are cheaper if compared with 1Utama and Midvalley. There have lotsa unbranded shoe’s shops but it is nice design as well. Most of the stuffs are for youngster (hey, I am too…). So, maybe BTS would be the place for me to hangout in future~

My cooking
icon1 admin | icon2 foods | icon4 08 12th, 2007| icon34 Comments »

Sometime, I rather to cook for myself. Although the food is not as nice as what we eat outside, but atleast it is more healthier (I think lar…). So, this Saturday night I’ve decided to cook for myself.

One of the HEAF’s* policy is cannot cook by using oil, eg. fried dishes. Because HEAF’s air circulation is damnly poor, once we fried things, our rooms will be so smooky. So, most of the time we only apply boiling as our cooking method. But I just break the rule, because SST** is going out and I can try to fried something, muhahahah~~

I’ve spent more than 30 minutes to cook my dinner. This is including rice (with carrot and corn in it), sardine, fried mixed-vege, fried traditional TauFu and apple soup as dessert~ OKOK, let  me present my dishes here. Hope can get you guys feedback by looking at the pics lar~~ hahaha

* If you are new reader at here, HEAF is our house’s name~

If you are regularly attend the Yoga, Body Balance, TaiChi classes, you might understand it should be conducted in the quiet environment. So, most of the studio will conduct it in the specific studio to get that effect. Besides, the participants are not encouraged to bring along the mobile phone into the studio, as it might be disturbing when it is rang.

Perhaps Malaysian are living in stressful and unsecure environment, I could see some of them bringing their mobile phone along into the studio. Some of them not switching their mobile into silent mode, so sometime you will hear the ringging noice. More over, some of the aunty (sorry to say that) even will answer the phone inside the studio… It is so annoying.

So, I really hope those people who wanna join the classes will put their mobile phone aside. Not too long, the class will only run for 60 minutes. We would so appreciated if you can let us to have a calmful workout environment.

Genting trip again~
icon1 admin | icon2 Travel, foods | icon4 08 9th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I was at Genting again on Tuesday and Wednesday. It was the second times for this year that I have been there. I love to go to Genting, as there has a cold weather. Besides, going to Genting is cheap if compared with other place of interests in Malaysia. The hotel price range is from RM38.88 per night onward if you book it online. Since this is Visit Malaysia 2007, so let me briefly talk about Genting and share it with other bloggers~

There are so many things that you can do at Genting. Karaoke, movie, shopping, bowling, snow world, golf, spa, and many more~ But the most attraction place for me is casino de Genting, hahaha~!! This time I was going with Chubby-boy only, and it is weekday as well, so we have decided to buy the Go Genting Package 2007 tour package. It is a one day trip to Genting, including both way return transfer and buffet lunch/ theme park ticket. The whole package is only RM 26nett (Mon- Fri), and RM39 (Sat, Sun, Public Holidays). Although we didn’t utilized the return skyway/bus transfer, but still worth its price for buffet lunch.

Finally, we had our buffet lunch at Kampong/ Resort restaurant by using the coupon. Don’t eat too much the seafoods there cause it is not fresh, haha! Then we go to check in at Theme Park Hotel, big spatial with 2 beds. Then we go to shopping, karaoke, then casino~! haha… We spent lotsa time in the last part. Now the bowling center is doing a promotion which allowing the hotel visitors to get one FREE game by showing the room passport. But we didn’t bring the room passport along, so we just missed it… sigh…

However, I am longing for the next visit to Genting. But I think Chubby-boy will not going there as soon. Because he will start his new job at JB very soon, and he always losed at Genting (me too)… So, go there for vocation is good, but don’t gambling so much ya~

Lunch at Just Thai
icon1 admin | icon2 foods | icon4 08 6th, 2007| icon36 Comments »

I am on leave today, as Chubby-boy has came to KL to visit me. After picking him up, we went to 1Utama straightly. He has so so long time never been there, I think almost 2 years. Yes, he has left me more than 2 years. We reached there around 1+pm, and the parking space at 1Utama still so empty. So nice to go to shooping center during weekdays, haha!!

So, we started to look for the restaurant for our lunch. He is thinking of Thai foods, so I brought him to Just Thai restaurant at LG, 1Utama.  During the weekdays, there are so many restaurants doing lunch promotion, and Just Thai is one of them. Just Thai has a combo set menu from Monday to Friday, all day long. I could see three sets there are offering right now, from 2 person’s to four person’s set meal. The price range from RM39++ to RM 108++. After that, we have choosed to have Thai Seafood Set for 2 @ RM49++.

In this set, it comprised of 1 soup, 4 dishes, 1 rice and 1 dessert. Although it is only a small portion for each dishes, but I think enough for two guys’ craving~ haha… About the foods, I think it’s ok ok lar… not very good and not very bad, worth for its price. oh yeah, the set meal didn’t comes with drinks, so you have extra order it. I think that lunch spent me RM65++. See the pics below for the dishes~!

I went to PIKOM PC fair~
icon1 admin | icon2 blog | icon4 08 6th, 2007| icon34 Comments »

I went to PIKOM PC fair as what I’d planned for last weekend. I choose to go on Sunday, because I heard from experienced buyers told me that Sunday will get cheaper price. However, you have to take the risk of the items you want has been sold out.

We reached there around 3:30pm, and it is so so so so so so crowded. We choose to ride with Kelana Jaya Line LRT, I was halfly dead in the LRT, as the KLCC is so so hit, so many people visit there during weekend. I have been squeezed into a small corner, and tried to keep my breath!

I’ve bought a Nikon L12 (7.1 Mega Pix) camera as planned, with lower price as well. The salesman offered me it with only RM630 with lotsa freebies. The freebies include rechargable batteries, case, sling bag, screen protector, 2GB SD card (ciplak brand), mini tripod. Since he gave us a great deal, so KeeYit and I have decided to get the same camera. Some thing makes me suprised is they are accepting credit card payment without any extra charge. So, I actually didn’t spend much cash at there (arround RM20 only). All the payments made by credit card. So, if next time you can just bring credit card there~

Since there was so crowded and make us very tired. So, we just skip most of the booths. Besides KL PC fair, 5xmom thus to elaborate the PC fair at Penang state, by her exellent Bahasa Malaysia, wink~. Do check it up for other states PC fair as well~
